My name is Mia Jaylene Zepeda from Bakersfield CA. I am so excited to share that I will be majoring in political science. I enjoy reading and writing especially when I can learn something new or teach others. I am passionate about advocacy and hope that one day I can work towards new legislation. In my free time I like to swim, bake, and read.
During my time at UCSB I am excited to take classes that both challenge me and inspire me. I really hope to explore my career interests and create new experiences especially in areas like research projects.
I am honored to be part of the Yardi Environmental Justice program. I am looking forward to learning about how environmental justice impacts our society and what we can do to improve issues that we may face. Along with that I am looking forward to meeting new people who share the hopes to create change.
