About
My name is Sofia Hernandez Calderon. I’m from Richmond, CA and I'm majoring in Marine Science and want to Minor in Spanish. My ultimate goal is to go to veterinary school and then specialize in working with marine animals. I’ve always wanted to work with animals but most recently have been focused more on conservation especially around rehabilitation. In my free time, I love to bake, swim, and listen to music.
At UCSB I'm looking forward to meeting new people, gaining new knowledge, and getting involved in many clubs and activities. Through the Yardi EJ Program I hope to continue to learn about environmental justice and ways that I can make a distance while also meeting people interested in the same thing as me.
